Companies with workplace wellness programs are improving employee health, decreasing absenteeism and saving money. Not surprisingly, healthy employees tend to be happier and more productive employees. With ill health in the work place now costing around £100 billion a year, Workplace Wellness is becoming an ever higher priority for many larger organisations and there is a current thirst for more information and guidance.
To this end, Liggy Webb of ‘The Learning Architect’ is launching a series of one day ‘Workplace Wellness Champions’ workshops at Cotswold Conference Centre in Broadway over the autumn/winter period 2009/2010. Delegates will learn how to implement sustainable wellness campaigns in the workplace.
Aimed at key managers, HR professionals, occupational health and health and safety personnel, the Workshops aim to give delegates a better understanding of the benefits of an holistic approach to Workplace Wellness, improving the overall resilience and health of the workforce.
Gaining knowledge of the key enablers of the wellness model, the Workplace Wellness Champions aims to reduce ill health in the workplace, benefiting all, from the individual worker to the company and even the country.
Liggy explains, "We chose the Cotswold Conference Centre to host our
Workplace Wellness events for a variety of reasons. It is a wonderful location that provides the perfect setting for people to learn, the customer service is second to none and the facilities are excellent. Most of all, however, the whole ethos of the centre totally complements and mirrors our own values, so for The Learning Architect it is the perfect partnership" .
